Koolaman designs is a family owned and operated business run by sisters Lisa O’Keefe and Stacey Clayton. The sisters manage the business from their respective homes near Victoria’s Rutherglen wine region and in Lisa’s case, from Koolaman Station, a remote sheep and wheat property in south-western New South Wales.

Koolaman Station is a 73,000-acre sheep and wheat property, which has been in Lisa’s husbands family for three generations. It lies 70km north west of Balranald near the Victorian and New South Wales borders and near the World Heritage Mungo National Park.

After taking over the family fruit farm, located just 5kms from Swan Hill, in 2003, Pat and Rebecca have continued to grow the old varieties of table grapes and blood plums which others had pulled out when they became unfashionable.

Just like fluoro and stonewash denim, the tables have turned and what was once old is new again!

To compliment the fresh produce which Rebecca takes to many local markets, they have developed their own range of condiments using the produce they grow; plum, fig, peach jams, muscat and sultana jellies, fig, peach and green tomato chutney, chilli jam and the most unique and popular product (which sold out at last years Almond Blossom Festival, chilli plum sauce. Of course, because these are made during the season stocks are limited and once gone are not available again until the following season so get in quick.
